Only 3 weeks left to finish our custom furniture projects

Posted by Jerod on 12/2/2011 to DESIGN RAMBLINGS
That time of the year again, lots of custom furniture projects to finish with 3 weeks left before the holidays. Interior Designer extaordinaire, Sara Ingrasia is up to her usual fun furniture designing challenge, Mahogany built-in settees ( on each side of a fire place ) and doors to separate the master bedroom from the master bathroom.

The star of this project are the Moroccan themed laser cut panels that will be the inserts panels for the doors and the drawers.

First thing I do with custom projects that require special materials is make sure that all the parts were ordered correctly, especially these panels since they have to be a perfect fit.

Spent way to much time making the custom push to open drawer glides work ( we had to create our own because the drawers were way to big for the hardware sold by our suppliers ), but since the client doesn't want handles, creative thinking was required.

We will be finishing these in a rich dark chocolate glaze and satin lacquer, this will look amazing.

Install is probably going to be December 15th so wish me luck. Till then everyone have a great weekend.

Hi! Can I get a price for custom made panels? Paint grade wood to go on the inset of cabinets. And what other designs do you have?
